Now there is the adorably ruthless crustacean (…arthropod….cephalopod in a stolen shell?) that we all knew he was.
So my takeaway from this is that he very much intends them to fail, what with the crippling of someone right out of the gate. A little odd considering how badly he wants the data but I guess he’s just doing this for a laugh while he puts together a team he thinks can actually pull it off. I’d say taking 6 months in the tank is sounding better and better but lets face it, that was never going to be just 6 months. At the end of the time it would be a “Oh you remember when *inset event* happened? That was another two month you owe.” and so on and so on.

Now you’re thinking like a Paguorian! Not to mention, there would be this antique V-drive ship that would be unused… It would be a shame to let such a wonderful smuggling vehicle go to waste!

Better start planning a few steps ahead then! I doubt Dolgrun is going to let a little something like an agreement keep him from going after their ship. Also he isn’t exactly promising to give an antidote to that toxin. Better bring some high explosives to the next meeting to make sure he keeps his word because if anything has value to him, its going to be his own life.

I’m thinking that Dolgrun is going to have to be dealt with in a permanent fashion eventually. Plus, if something ‘unfortunate’ were to happen to ‘it’, in the ensuing chaos there must be a lot of loot to be had.

Removing Dolgrun would be beneficial to the crew, but as we’ve seen, the big grub employs quite a few people. I’d imagine the chaos that would erupt if some nobodies offed the local mob boss that has more influence than the local authorities MIGHT cause an issue…
